We offer a broad range of on-site, mobile and in-house blast cleaning, preparation and finishing services for a wide area of commercial, industrial and domestic requirements including heritage restoration projects. Following highly successful projects on the Cutty Sark and Beachy Head Lighthouse, the company have been contracted to work on this iconic landmark.

Our factory, based in Hailsham, provides a base and centre our our blasting and coating work. Our facilities include enclosed blast rooms, multiple spraying and coating booths along with a range of ovens for the drying and finishing process. We work with individual components and batch production to specification or to a commercial finish.

The factory works with both new components and old, but our surface preparation capabilities enable high quality coatings and surface finishes to achieve lasting results far beyond normal expectations.The painting process is a specialised area where Sussex Blast Cleaning have excelled over the last three decades.
Services
The new millennium saw the Company operating out of larger premises and broadening its fields of activities.
It took on more challenging heritage projects such as windmill restorations, the De La War Pavilion in Bexhill, Black Friars Bridge in London and a two year project restoring the listed Army Barracks in Gosport, Hampshire.
Sussex Blast Cleaning have been busy with a number of works in and around the Royal Parks in London.
Stripping back preparing and repainting benches, railings and Her Majesty's lamps at our workshops in Sussex.
The revised Regulations have been implemented to make it easier for those involved in construction projects to comply with health and safety requirements.
The CDM Regulations have been targeted to improve the overall management and co-ordination of health, safety and welfare throughout all aspects of construction projects to reduce the number of serious accidents and cases of ill health which happen every year in the industry.
The HSE emphasise that the new regulations, planning and management secure a safe project, rather than paperwork.

We are a company who provide blast cleaning and paint coating systems as service to a broad and varied customer base from our premises or on-site with mobile operations.
Our unique position is our refined capabilities, honed over twenty five years, with a loyal workforce that can overcome the most challenging projects.
The fire on the Cutty Sark in 2007, set one of these challenges.
The Trust recognised our capabilities and we won the contract against many large companies to restore the vessel.
This is used in a multitude of applications both in-house and on-site with a variety of media such as garnet, aluminium oxide, mixed alumina and stainless steel grit.
The application is a refined process depending on the surface, the environment and the equipment involved.
It can be a mechanical, semi mechanical or manual process with numerous aspects to consider.
Blasting is used to remove build up of paint and corrosion from surfaces; it can also be used to achieve a profile to which coatings can adhere, thus increasing life expectancy making the process more cost effective.
Sophisticated technologies and equipment providing UHP (very high pressure up to 45,000 PSI) can be used for coating removal and surface preparation and also as an alternative to dry blasting in some circumstance suppressing dust in sensitive areas.
Water's inert nature can prove an advantage in sensitive environments such as gas works and the petro chemical sector.
It removes chlorines that can be corrosive to make preservation more lasting and durable.
Remote control automated blasting has also been developed to provide a more efficient process for large areas and inaccessible places.
