With over 25 years of experience in London we professionally clean carpets and rugs and clean, renovate and polish stone and other hard floors. We are working in the current crisis but will be taking measures to ensure your safety and ours when we are working on-site. We can take away rugs to be cleaned off site, please contact us if you have any concerns.

We aim to restore your furnishings to as close to their original condition as possible with the minimum of fuss. The carpets will normally be dry enough to use in five hours but it is safe to walk on them without shoes before then. We normally work from 8:30 am. to 5:30 p.m. on week days but we can start earlier if you need to go to work.

We are mainly working in Kensington and Chelsea, Westminster and Wandsworth but we do go to all of central London, between Highgate in the North, Streatham in the South, Dulwich in the East and Chiswick in the West.We will go out of London for larger jobs. We move the main furniture but we ask you to pick up anything on the floor or under beds, toys, books etc. and remove breakables from tables.
Services
Established in 1984, Mark Harvey Cleaning is a small company with a reputation for service and quality work.
Our expertise allows us to clean everything from conventional household carpets to polypropylene carpets used by offices.
Based in Battersea we work throughout Central London though mainly in South London, Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster.
We are able to clean anything from antique persian kilims to contemporary designer rugs and from rubber tiled kitchens to marble receptions, for both private and commercial customers.
Hot water and detergents are sprayed on the carpet and simultaneously extracted with powerful vacuums.
Remaining stains are then treated individually, leaving the carpet clean and dry in approximately five hours.
We use approved "Wool Safe " products to ensure a long life for your carpet.
Your furniture will be put back in place with foil pads under the feet to protect the carpet.
Minute sponges containing water and cleaning agents are brushed into the carpet and then vacuumed off.
Though not as effective as steam cleaning it is a safe way to clean "natural" floor coverings like sea-grass, coir and sisal.
We can both clean, hone and polish stone floors.
If your floor is worn, scuffed or scratched it can honed, using diamond pads, to remove marks and then polished.
Limestone, travertine and marble floors will wear over time.
This marble work top was scratched and etched, we honed out all the marks then re-polished it.
This removes any build-up of dirt and care products and gives it back its original appearance.
Like floors, stone kitchen work tops and vanity units can be honed to remove etching and scratches and polished.
With Rubber, Marmoleum and Lino floors cleaning involves stripping off any old polish, scrubbing the floor to remove dirt and applying several coats of polish.
Often these floors are not properly sealed when they are first put down, polish makes them look smarter and much easier to maintain.
The floor in the picture is an old Dalsouple rubber floor that we have maintained for several years.
We have extensive experience in cleaning both domestic and commercial rubber floors, Dalsouple and other brands, in London and, in most cases, cleaning improves an old floor dramatically.
We now also can polish and re-surface most porcelain and ceramic tiles, removing scratches and restoring the colour.
This is particularly effective on pale or white tiles with a gloss or satin finish.
Over time the surface becomes scratched and dull.
Using special creams, we can polish out the scratches and restore the finish.
We clean the grout at the same time.
The floor on the right is a floor in an office reception, we were able to clean and restore it to its original condition.
